What length racking fits in a MAN TGE L2H2/H3 on the offside?

On a MAN TGE L2H2/H3 the offside gives the longest single racking run, along a load length of 3,450 mm.

The StowPro Offside kit runs 2,750 mm of shelving before the rear doors — the driver's-side wall is the best place for your longest run. For this side only choose the Offside Only kit; for both walls choose the Full Kit.

How long is the load area in a MAN TGE?

The MAN TGE load length is 3,450 mm on the L2H2/H3, 4,300 mm on the L3H3 and 4,855 mm on the L4H3/H4, measured along the floor.

Load width is 1,832 mm, narrowing to 1,380 mm between the wheel arches. StowPro build a kit for each of these bodies, so you match the rack to your exact van.

Do I need the nearside or offside racking kit for my MAN TGE?

Choose the Offside (driver's side) kit for the longest uninterrupted run, the Nearside (passenger side) kit to rack around the sliding door, or the Full Kit to fit out both walls.

On the MAN TGE the standard sliding load door is on the nearside, so that side is split into shorter modules while the offside takes the longer run. Most trades kitting out a whole van take the Full Kit.

Is MAN TGE racking the same as VW Crafter racking?

Yes — the MAN TGE, VW Crafter are the same van with different badges and identical load dimensions, so StowPro racking built for one fits the others.

Match the body length and roof height and the kit is interchangeable across the badge-engineered twins.

How much headroom is there for tall racking in a MAN TGE?

The MAN TGE offers H2 1,726 / H3 1,961 / H4 2,189 mm of internal load height depending on the roof, so taller units and vertical storage fit on the higher-roof bodies.

Check your roof code (H1/H2/H3) before choosing full-height shelving — the standard roof takes less than the high or super-high.

Does front- or rear-wheel drive change the racking fit on a MAN TGE?

It can — rear-wheel-drive MAN TGE vans sit higher, losing roughly 70–100 mm of internal height, and twin-rear-wheel models narrow the gap between the wheel arches.

The load length is unchanged, so the offside/nearside kit choice is the same; just allow for the lower roof height and check the arch width if you're on twin wheels.

Will fitting racking reduce my MAN TGE payload?

Racking uses some of the MAN TGE's payload, but StowPro units are built from lightweight load-rated steel to keep that to a minimum.

Fit only the side(s) you need (Offside, Nearside or Full Kit) and keep heavy stock low and central to protect your remaining payload and handling.

What's the longest item I can carry down the side of a MAN TGE?

Long items travel at floor level in a MAN TGE: the 4,855 mm load length on the largest body is measured along the floor, and StowPro racking sits against the wall so the load floor in front of it stays clear.

Don't plan on carrying a full-length item on top of the racking — higher up the bulkhead and cab seats intrude, so the usable length above the floor is shorter than the floor figure. The offside kit itself runs 3,750 mm along the wall; tell us your body and roof and we'll confirm what fits.

Van Racking for the MAN TGE

The TGE is a Crafter wearing a truck badge, and it's quietly become a favourite with fleets that want big-van space with commercial backup. We rack it from L3 to L5, medium and high roof.

One of our favourite customer fits was a MAN TGE service van, and it shows the range off well: open shelving on one side for the bulk, drawers on the other for the small parts, everything strapped, sorted and reachable. Shelving kits give you 40kg-rated steel shelves and top trays. Workshop kits add the drawer bank and a birch worktop. The Workstation kit turns the back of the van into the workshop itself.

Racking a van this size is about time as much as tidiness: a fitter who isn't hunting for tools gets through more calls in a day, and that's what pays for the kit.
