Offside or nearside?
Bird's-eye view of a typical UK right-hand-drive van, with the standard single nearside sliding door.
The longer run
The offside normally has no door breaking it up, so it takes the longest continuous racking run — the best wall for long items and full-height units.
Choose: Offside Only
Around the side door
The sliding load door splits this wall, so the nearside kit is modular fore and aft of the aperture, keeping loading access clear.
Choose: Nearside Only
Racking both walls? The Full Kit covers offside and nearside together.
Fiat Scudo floor dimensions from manufacturer/reference data; offside and nearside run widths from StowPro kit specifications. The 2007-2016 rows are the previous Scudo, the same van as the 2007-2016 Peugeot Expert and Citroën Dispatch, standard roof; high-roof kits for that van are not listed, so ask us. The Scudo name was not used between 2016 and 2022: that van was the Fiat Talento, a Renault Trafic body, which you will find under Fiat in the van search. The 2022-on rows are the current Stellantis van, shared with the Expert, Dispatch, Vauxhall Vivaro and Toyota Proace. The two generations take different kits, so check the shape rather than the year. With the load-through bulkhead the 2022-on floor extends to ~4,024 mm, but that is not usable rack length.
Fiat Scudo racking - common questions
What length racking fits in a Fiat Scudo on the offside?
On a 2022-on Fiat Scudo the StowPro Offside kit runs 2,000 mm of shelving on the Standard and 2,250 mm on the XL; on a 2007-2016 Scudo it runs 1,650 mm on the L1 and 2,000 mm on the L2.
The offside (driver's side) has no sliding door breaking it up, so it takes your longest run before the rear doors. For this side only choose the Offside Only kit; for both walls choose the Full Kit.
How long is the load area in a Fiat Scudo?
The 2022-on Fiat Scudo load length is 2,512 mm on the Standard and 2,862 mm on the XL; the 2007-2016 Scudo is 2,254 mm on the L1 and 2,584 mm on the L2, measured along the floor.
Load width is 1,628 mm on the 2022-on van, narrowing to 1,258 mm between the wheel arches; the 2007-2016 van is 1,600 mm wide and 1,245 mm between the arches. StowPro build a kit for each of these bodies, so you match the rack to your exact van.
Do the 2007-2016 and the 2022-on Scudo take the same racking?
No. The 2022-on Scudo is the current Stellantis van and the 2007-2016 Scudo is the previous shape, and they take different StowPro kits.
Pick your generation in the van search or read the table above. The Scudo name was not used between 2016 and 2022: that van was the Fiat Talento, a Renault Trafic body, which you will find under Fiat in the van search. High-roof kits for the 2007-2016 van are not listed, so ask us.
Do I need the nearside or offside racking kit for my Fiat Scudo?
Choose the Offside (driver's side) kit for the longest uninterrupted run, the Nearside (passenger side) kit to rack around the sliding door, or the Full Kit to fit out both walls.
On both generations of the Scudo the standard sliding load door is on the nearside, so that side is split into shorter modules while the offside takes the longer run. Most trades kitting out a whole van take the Full Kit.
Is Fiat Scudo racking the same as Vauxhall Vivaro racking?
For the 2022-on Scudo, yes: it is the same van as the 2019-on Vauxhall Vivaro, Peugeot Expert, Citroën Dispatch and Toyota Proace, with identical load dimensions, so StowPro racking built for one fits the others.
The 2007-2016 Scudo is the same van as the 2007-2016 Peugeot Expert and Citroën Dispatch. Match the generation and the body length and the kit is interchangeable across the badge-engineered twins.
Can I still carry long items past the racking in a Fiat Scudo?
Yes, at floor level. StowPro racking sits against the wall and leaves the load floor clear, and if your Fiat Scudo has a load-through bulkhead, long items can pass through it at floor level.
The load-through length quoted by the manufacturer only applies at the floor with the hatch open; higher up the bulkhead intrudes, so plan around the floor length and don't count on resting long items on top of the racking.
Will fitting racking reduce my Fiat Scudo payload?
Racking uses some of the Fiat Scudo's payload, but StowPro units are built from lightweight load-rated steel to keep that to a minimum.
Fit only the side or sides you need (Offside, Nearside or Full Kit) and keep heavy stock low and central to protect your remaining payload and handling.
What's the longest item I can carry down the side of a Fiat Scudo?
Long items travel at floor level: the load length, 2,862 mm on a 2022-on XL or 2,584 mm on a 2007-2016 L2, is measured along the floor, and StowPro racking sits against the wall so the load floor in front of it stays clear.
Don't plan on carrying a full-length item on top of the racking. Higher up, the bulkhead and cab seats intrude, so the usable length above the floor is shorter than the floor figure. The offside kit itself runs 2,250 mm along the wall on the 2022-on XL and 2,000 mm on the 2007-2016 L2; tell us your body and year and we'll confirm what fits.
